Terms and Conditions

Handyman Services

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the rights and obligations between [The Hooked Handyman](“Company,” “we,” “us”) and the Client (“you,” “your”) for the provision of residential handyman and maintenance services. By booking or accepting our services, you agree to the following:

1. Scope of Services

• Services include general interior or exterior residential maintenance, repairs, and handyman tasks as agreed upon in writing, text, email, or service order.

• We may not be able to provide specialized trade work (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing) unless performed by licensed subcontractors, pending location or premise and severity of issue at hand.

• Any additional work outside the agreed scope requires a separate estimate and client approval.

2. Estimates & Payment​

• Final payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed.

• We accept [cash, check, card, digital, etc.].

• We offer financing.

3. Client Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area during scheduled service times.

• Remove or protect valuables, fragile items, and personal belongings from the work area.

• Provide access to utilities (water, electricity, etc.) necessary to complete the work.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a sacrifice of monthly appointment.

• Rescheduling will be accommodated as availability permits.

5. Materials & Warranties

• Unless otherwise stated, the Client is responsible for the cost of materials.

• The Company may purchase materials on behalf of the Client, subject to reimbursement.

• Workmanship is warranted for [90 days] from the completion date. Warranty excludes normal wear and tear, misuse,  issues caused by pre-existing conditions, modication of aging materials, or homeowner misuse.

6. Liability & Limitations

• The Company will perform services with reasonable skill and care.

• We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.

• The Client is responsible for informing us of known hazards, including asbestos, lead paint, mold, or unsafe structures.

• Our liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for services rendered.

7. Insurance

• The Company maintains general liability insurance. Proof of coverage is available upon request.

• The Client is responsible for maintaining homeowner’s insurance covering their property.

8. Termination

• Either party may terminate this Agreement if the other party materially breaches its obligations. The Hooked Handyman may cancel any subscription and refuse service due to indecent living situations, lifestyle changes, or safety concerns at any time without notice.

• Client remains responsible for payment of all services performed up to termination.

9. Governing Law

• This Agreement is governed by the laws of Pennsylvania.

• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Northampton County, Easton, Pennsylvania jurisdiction.

10. Entire Agreement

• This Agreement, along with any approved estimates or service orders, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties.

• No oral statements or prior agreements shall override these written Terms and Conditions.

 

Acknowledgment
By booking or receiving handyman services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
